Experience
Adam Alpert’s practice focuses on representation of debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, and trustees in Chapter 11 reorganizations and Chapter 7 liquidations.  Mr. Alpert also has significant experience in insurance-related bankruptcies having served as counsel to the liquidating trustee for one of Florida’s largest workers’ compensation self-insurance trusts.

Mr. Alpert's corporate practice includes the preparation and review of stock/asset purchase agreements, registration rights agreements, stockholders' agreements, preferred stock designations, options, warrants, proxy statements, and registration statements.  Mr. Alpert also specializes in representing issuers, investors and placement agents in corporate financing matters involving private-investment-in-public-equity (PIPE) transactions.

Bar Admissions
Mr. Alpert is admitted to practice in Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Recognitions, Associations and Professional Activities
Mr. Alpert is certified as a specialist in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification, accredited by The Florida Bar.  Mr. Alpert also serves on the board of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and is a contributor to the Association’s newsletter, The Cramdown.  Mr. Alpert is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and a contributor to the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal.  Mr. Alpert is also a graduate of the Tampa Connection Class of 2006.  Prior to graduating from law school, Mr. Alpert served as a judicial intern to the Honorable A. Jay Cristol, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Florida, and Justice Peggy A.Quince of the Florida Supreme Court.  In 2009, Mr. Alpert was recognized as a "Rising Star" by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine.  Mr. Alpert has been awarded an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Alpert was born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Miami, Florida.
